Final Vote on Senate Bill 610 April 8th, 2010
In the Legislative Process there is a ruling for legislators to personally speak about wrongs or opinions
and they are given blanket time on the Floor, this is called a point of personal privilege and at this point in
the Legislative Session I am going to take mine.
First,I have always been very proud of who I represent. You, the officers that work to provide protection
and order in what is often a violent world. You should be proud. You go to work daily and make a
difference in the lives of others. Most people simply wake up and do nothing more than take up
space.
Today the Senate made of final vote on Senate Bill 610, and my disappointment in the members of the
Florida Senate has never been so extreme. There were several shining hero's of the day, and I will give
them full credit, because not only did they debate to protect you the protectors, but took on the
Leadership of the Senate at a risk to their own issues. I could not be more proud of those individuals.
I am going to give you the list of members that took on the challenge for us and fought for us....Read More.

Below is a list of the members that will be voting on this bill February 16th, 2010 at 4pm....Read More.

We had 20 FOP members in the audience who all voiced their opposition to this bill. Those voices fell on deaf ears and it was clear the Senators on this committee had made up their mind before the hearing....Read More.
