Q: Who is eligible to become an F.O.P. member?
A: Any full-time, sworn law enforcement officer who is employed by a local, county, state,federal or government entity may become a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Q: I work for a security company Can I become a member?
A: No, only full time law enforcement officers are eligible.
Q: I am a part time or reserve officer can I join?
A: No, only full time officers are eligible, you can however join an associate lodge.
Q: I am a retired law enforcement officer from another state can I join?
A: Yes, contact the local FOP lodge in your area. Click here for a listing of local lodges within Florida.
Q: How can I find an Florida State FOP local lodge in my area?
A: Click here and contact a local lodge within your area. Email or website links are available to allow you to contact the lodge directly to obtain more information.
Q: I still can not find a local lodge in my area what can I do?
A: Go to the executive officers page and double click on the picture of the district director from your area and you will be permitted to send an email for further instructions.
Q: Can I get the information I am looking for if I send an email to the webmaster or the state lodge office?
A: No, all information concerning local lodges must come from the local lodge or the district director. Any requests sent to the webmaster or state office will go unanswered.
Q: I am a concerned citizen is there any way for me to join?
A: Yes, you can join an associate FOP lodge in your area. Associate membership is composed of private citizens who have an interest in our organization and wish to help the law enforcement community.
Q: Who do I contact to join an associate lodge?
A: Contact the local lodge president in your area for information.
